Here’s some video that I took on Laika Night at the SAT on Sat (see xRx you should have come):
Last Tuesday I was slouching down the street, still on the sicker side of well, when a Bently pulls up to me and the person inside beckons me over. The man in the car was a very funky styley fellow who spoke little to no english, and shamefully enough my french can only really be described as sad.
I hang out at Laika a lot, in fact I stopped by for a beer on my way down to the SAT on Sat. Anyway I go up to the bar at the SAT, and voila there’s a projection of the bicycle photo from behind the bar at Laika. Turns out it’s Laika Night at the SAT. That’s a lot of Laika. I’ll be uploading a video clip of it later.
Wow it’s been over a week since I’ve posted anything… now that’s a shame. Today I posted a review of the Expo Manger Santé to Midnight Poutine. If you like organic food it’s an event well worth checking out. However, tomorrow is the last day, so if you can find some time around the St Patty’s Day parade you should head on over to the Palais des congrès.
At any rate, I got really sick last weekend, and I’ve spent most of the week recovering.
I haven’t really been training, going out, or writing all that much. However, the past week did see me miss my chance at a possible modeling career
(more on that later), and it witnessed my meeting a wonderful woman (but not so sure I’ll write about that… too personal).
Forgot my swimsuit so it turned into a fairly long run day instead of a long swim day. BTW I love my new Polar RS800sd. I’ll be reviewing it at some point in the future.
Total Time: 2:15
12:00 pm – YMCA Treadmill
- run: 0:30 treadmill (3 breaks to check the calibration of my foot-pod)
5:30 pm – YMCA Track and Weights
- run: 1:00 track run (ok pace)
- weights: 0:30 weights and core (upper body)
- stretch: 0:15
Life keeps interfering with training… I’ve got to find a way to curb it or at least accommodate it better. I’m not going to complain too much though because I’ve had a great week.
But skimping on training can’t continue; I’ve got goals that I have to achieve!!!

Usine C is a great performance space. I’d never been there before last Thursday, and now I’ve been there twice.
I’ve decided to make a resolution to see more performance art. It’s been a while since I’ve seen something as stunning as Johnny Ranger’s Les Constellations Dynamiques (my review on Midnight Poutine), and it left me wanting more…
And on Saturday I got more when I went to see ROBO_COOP (my review on Midnight Poutine) as a part of Nuit Blanche. It too was impressive…
A week full of computers, robots, music, and dance… I’m not complaining.
I think there’s going to have to be some new studies done adding the properties of crochet to the comparisons of carbon, aluminum, titanium, and steel as frame building materials (and techniques).
This photo came from jackrabbit.etsy.com’s photoset on Flickr.
I found this on join-the-dots, but the photos are from jackrabbit.etsy.com on Flickr.
I wonder how hard it is to get crochet cartridges? For the more violent at heart, you should consider checking out the woven guns…
